Just getting into the research on AMTX, I did a patent search and found they have one, for updating of bit allocations in a multicarrier modulation transmission system. They have formed an alliance with MOT to deliver an inexpensive standard compliant ADSL transceiver. Motorola is apparently high on Amati. Amati's quarterly reports are on file with SEC, I've yet to read them. And if you do a Lycos search with ADSL and or VDSL, you will find some interesting things. Also check out the ADSL forum sbexpos.com
