J-Bird Music Group LTD Signs Exclusive Licensing Agreement for Christine Ohlman, Saturday Night Live Band Lead Vocalist
WILTON, Conn., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- J-Bird Records (OTC Bulletin Board: JBRD), announced today an exclusive licensing deal for a brand new Christine Ohlman CD entitled Wicked Time with TNA records.
Charles M. Young of Playboy comments: "The first thing you notice is her tough, rousing, sexy voice. The second thing you notice is that she can write songs with booming choruses you want to sing along with the first time you hear them."
Ohlman was a founding member of The Scratch Band, legendary throughout the Northeast for their incendiary and eclectic live shows. She admits that the 1992 Bob Dylan 30th Anniversary Tribute Concert, where she sang with George Harrison and Chrissie Hynde, among others, edges out everything for sheer historical vibe. While touring and recording are her main focus, Ohlman continues to perform with the SNL Band both live/in-concert and on air.
Her appearance on the 1998 Grammy nominee A Tribute To Howlin' Wolf (with Taj Mahal & Lucinda Williams) and the upcoming Songs Of Willie Dixon (with Sonny Landreth), along with her scorching duets with blues legend Eddie Kirkland on his CD's Where You Get Your Sugar and Lonely Street are a testament to Ohlman's performance stature within the music industry.
