One thing that COM21 and CUBE have in common is their
very solid wins in Europe and attempt to pry open the doors in the US.

To date in head-to-head competition with the European DVB standard, the ATSC has been on the losing end of most recent decisions; Europe has fallen, along with Australia, Singapore, and most recently India. The ATSC has won North America, Korea, Taiwan and Argentina.

China appears to be on the verge of choosing DVB. South America is getting ready to decide--a critical shoot-out in Brazil could determine the fate of DTV for the entire continent. Argentina jumped early, choosing the ATSC standard, however, the decision has been clouded in a recent controversy suggesting that they may reconsider. There is tremendous pressure for all of South America to choose standards for cable, satellite and terrestrial broadcast that are interoperable.

OPEN Q)
Does DIVI's tremendous history in DVB and partnership with Canal+
give them a leg up in the increasing territory of DVB?
Or dosn't it matter, Thanks in advance.
