David,

I don't attribute the importance to Cantor Fitzgerald's Checkfree trading that you do. I looked at a run from Autex as to which market makers accounted for significant volumes in Checkfree trading over the past 10 days and find that Cantor ranked number 16 accounting for less than 1 1/2 % of the total advertised trade volume, or 139,000 shares.

By comparison, Solomon Smith Barney accounted for 19.3 % of the advertised volume, or in excess of 1.8 million shares, and Alex Brown did more than 1.5 million shares, or 16.1 % of the the volume.

I mention this for whatever value it might have.

Bob
