However, I asked this exact question of an Aetheist friend of mine (He actually belongs to the Church of Bob, it's online.) His response was, "You're dead, what does it matter?" He has no fear of death, because he only values life. He doesn't worry about his immortal soul, and he is still a fairly moral person (as much as most liberals). I just wonder what his attitude will be once he gets older. It's amazing how that 50th birthday sends 'em flocking back to church.
