Actually, it is. Intelligence is genetic, and intelligence is the second largest factor in success.

The social upraising of hard work is the most important factor. But a hard worker, without intelligence, will still be digging ditches when he dies; instead of owning the company.

A smart, lazy person can still manipulate his way into success. Usually via marriage, IMO.
