"I've seen the Microsoft and Win2000 FAQ on the Citrix website. It's very "thin" on details. For example, what happens in 2002 when the Citrix and Microsoft deal terminates?"

John,
Yes the FAQ was very thin<g>. In the Q2 CC, Iacobucci flat out said he wanted to, "clear up the MSFT relationship." So he proceeded to say, "It is fine." And that's about as far as that one went.

But to be honest, that's about all we can come up with on our speculating on this thread. The expiration of the marketing agreement which is ending about now, is a non-event. No one knows what will happen in 2002 when the other part of the agreement expires. That question has already been asked, and I don't believe any of us even took a guess. I doubt that CTXS folks know either.

CTXS tends to head in a lot of different directions as opportunities pop up. That's both good and bad.

Take this ASP market for instance. In Q1 CC it was mentioned lightly as something that wouldn't generate any revenues for the forseeable future (something like that). In Q2 CC it was not even mentioned. Yet at iForum 99, it appears the ASP market was heavily promoted. This is fairly typical of the many directions CTXS technology has taken them over the years.

In all fairness, it's hard to predict where a new enabling technology will take a company. At least CTXS is always there ready to take quick advantage of any opps they seem to stumble in to.

Helping Sun Microsystems with the Sun Ray project, and giving GraphOn a soapbox at iForum still just blows me away. Very puzzling. As investors, we just tend to hope they know what they are doing.
