Larry, I owe you for this post! I had not heard of ZANY before, but did some DD including a store visit in nearby Ahwatukee, Arizona (Phoenix area) and was very impressed. Bought a token position first thing this a.m. and looking to add.
The store was clean (new), low shelves, wide aisles, friendly sales people, well-lit, well-merchandised and displayed, and had a fair amount of traffic even on a rainy Saturday evening. I had fun looking around and dropped a few $ on impulse items myself! <g>
I really like the philosophy behind the business model, and think it could really hit the mark with a lot of families.
