It's a single-family house, three stories in all. We have already disposed of the newspapers, the paid utility bills that went back to the eighties, and the like. Yes, it was almost as bad as the Collier brothers' place.

Not to mention small change everywhere. In every drawer, all over the floor, in every wallet and pocketbook and change purse, in boxes and cans and pockets, EVERYWHERE.

We have already disposed of the spoiled canned goods as well and so far have encountered only one dead mouse. That was the botulism weekend.

This past weekend was mostly sorting clothing, some of which belonged to people who have been dead for more than ten years. It took the whole weekend and I am amazed that we did it. Bags and bags of trash. Bags and bags of clothing going to a charity.
