GUNS SEIZED ON BOAT FLYING JOLLY ROGER. LYNN, Mass., Sept. 13 (UPI) _ Pirates off Massachusetts?

State police said today they boarded a 35-foot sloop displaying the Jolly Roger skull and crossbones pirate flag off the coast north of Boston last night, seized five semiautomatic weapons and ammunition and arrested the boat's owner on various weapons charges.
The Massachusetts State Police Marine Unit responded to a report of
automatic weapons being fired from the sloop about a mile off
Swampscott.
Troopers and the Coast Guard boarded the Zeppelin 4 and found a
semiautomatic handgun, a semiautomatic shotgun, three semiautomatic
rifles and ammunition, including 60 rounds of Black Talon bullets, in
addition to two double-edged knives.
The boat's owner, Joseph Mastko, 35, of Revere is being arraigned
today in Lynn District Court on charges of illegal possession of weapons
and ammunition.
Three other people on board were not arrested.
There was no immediate explanation of what they were doing with the
weapons.
