(eeeeewe, I sound like Engel - may be it is about time to unretire lest I become a grouchy old man)

Now, for the real answer: these yesterdays products could have shared the low end with P3 but AMD has done a good job on their new core - so they are ready to be phased out. Ooops, Intel couldn't keep Wilamette schedule and can't obsolete the PIII core - Ouch!
