Solectron acquisition of Smart Modular.

This is an interesting acquisition... I think Solectron will benefit from it over the long haul.

Interesting as to who might lose from this deal, and my thoughts center on Celestica. Celestica has a business making memory modules, and if I recall correctly, IBM was one of the big customers there. Since IBM is sending a lot of work to Solectron, the possibility exists that SMOD could end up supplanting CLS as a supplier.

Anyway, just a thought... need to do more work finding out whether this possibility exists.
