Truedog, I would never say that I know the scriptures well. I read the New Testament in the early 80s and have not spent much time on the Old Testament. If you liked that passage from Matthew, heres another one. We are departing from scripture now, this is the thought for the day on the fourth Sunday in Lent from the Marian Missal: Behold, our King marcheth before us, who will fight for us. Let us follow Him manfully, let no one fear terrors; let us be ready to die valiantly in battle; nor let us bring disgrace upon our glory by flying from the cross. Kinda makes you want to grab a sword, start a crusade, and lop off a few heads, doesn't it? Well, maybe not a temperate fellow like you, but it does me.
