Yes this is correct.

I use Quicken to connect to my bank which uses CKFR to do the actual transactions.

Some of my bills, such as AMEX, are done completely electronically (they clear the night they are posted), some are hybrids (they are electronic but take a day or two to clear) and some are printed checks, such as sending my Niece a birthday check.

I have had very few problems with this, and much prefer it to a direct connection to CKFR which I used for three years before changing to the Quicken interface.
