There is a considerable amount of information out there on the Timor Gap oil field, if you look for it. Another good quick information source is the New York Times page: nytimes.com The recent archives are well organized and easy to use. It will be very interesting to see how this peacekeeping force shapes up. If they can make it all-ASEAN it will be a major face-saver for the Indonesians, but can such a force be assembled and deployed fast enough to be useful, and will it be effective...? Stay tuned.
