Bevy, Ericsson and such guys are in very good position to implement LMDS. They can port their experience in wireless mobile telephony into the LMDS segment. They have tons of knowledge in building mobile networks, have the capabilities and the engineering talent. They already have capabilities building those short haul, low capacity MINI-LINKS at 18 and 23GHZ which connect the Mobile switching centers to the Radio base stations and radio base controllers. It is a big advantage for ERICY. The problem of ERICY is that they want to think only in mobile phones. Which would be the same if HP would be thinking only in the calculators' side of the business.
