SOUTHLAKE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 14, 1999--Comercis, formerly Business Web, Inc. and soon to be merged with NewGold, Inc.,(NASDAQ OTC BB:NGLD), today announced an alliance with TV onthe WEB - developer of a national franchise for live webcasting and the premier destination for market-specific television for the Internet.
This alliance provides eTradeshow.com with exposure to over 180,000 unique visitors a month and will enable TV onthe WEB to serve as the exclusive webcaster of online video content for all eTradeshow.com's online exhibits.
TV onthe WEB, an affiliate of iNEXTV - a subsidiary of Ampex Corporation (Amex:AXC), and the one of the world's largest providers of audio-visual content for the Internet - will launch the eTradeshow Store on its network on Monday, September 13, 1999 at www.tvontheweb.com. The launch is in conjunction with eTradeshow's presentation of the 1999 Mobile & PDA Expo.
"We are pleased to be an exclusive service provider for such premiere industry events," said Dave Gardy, chairman and co-CEO of TV onthe WEB. "Our webcasts provide a great resource for industry professionals who failed to attend the show, as well as a value-added marketing tool for exhibitors."
eTradeshow's online Mobile & PDA Expo will feature a virtual exhibition hall, "cyber" booths with interactive demonstrations, speaker's notes, downloadable brochures, and direct, real-time links to company representatives.
Comercis' eTradeshow service will also enable exhibitors from the Mobile & PDA Expo to set up multi-page, custom "booths," designed to attract individuals and businesses who may not be able to attend the actual tradeshow.
Additionally, exhibitors in the Expo will have the opportunity to broadcast company and product presentations that were recorded at the actual show.
"The eTradeshow Online Video Store will be an excellent use of the eTradeshow technology and services while also highlighting the benefits of TV onthe WEB," said Jeremy Goodell, vice president and general manager of eTradeshow for Comercis. "eTradeshow.com presents a tremendous opportunity for companies to generate additional exposure and increase the return on their tradeshow investments."
