An observation about the lawyering profession ( no point to make really).

The buzz in the office this morning is about a lawyer who has done work for this company for years and with whom many folks here are acquainted. He was caught stealing from his firm.

Day 1 he was fired. Day 3 he was disbarred.

The observation is that in every other human endeavor in 1999 America in which lawyers are involved, a process isn't "due" unless it includes vast amounts of time.

However it is interesting in this particular case at least, when lawyers are dealing with their own, process can be startlingly swift.
