WESTBORO, Mass. and MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 14, 1999--Data General Corporation (NYSE:DGN) and VERITAS(R) Software Corporation (Nasdaq:VRTS) today announced that VERITAS ClusterX(TM) management software for Microsoft Cluster Server (MSCS) is now available on all of its Microsoft Windows NT clustered systems. Data General is pre-installing a limited edition of VERITAS ClusterX on all AViiON(R) Windows NT Cluster-in-a-Box(R) servers and is also offering the full version of VERITAS ClusterX for MSCS directly to its customers.
The VERITAS ClusterX family of products allows users to realize the full benefits of clustering by providing enterprise-wide cluster management from a single Windows NT console. VERITAS ClusterX provides Data General customers with all of the installation, configuration, management and reporting tools necessary to ensure the maximum uptime for their business-critical applications.
