Please explain then, since I am not a scientist. They have been doing melanoma trials for a long time using the same technology. Do you really think they would have started on another cancer if they were getting poor results?

Furthermore, using AIDS as an analogy of a mutating disease, it seems that the cocktail approach has cut the death rate there dramatically, even if not effecting a cure. I doubt afflicted patients would agree
that a temporarily effective treatment has no value. Again as a non-scientist, I think it would depend on how short "temporary" is and
how quality of life is affected by the treatment itself.
