Good article. I think the vision and differentiation are there. CPQ just hasn't come forward with it yet. Sort've like AAPL a year ago (or 15 months ago)...you knew it was coming...it just wasn't "there". Alot of AAPL's first initiatives were left by the wayside as the iMac and iBook took prominence. Now the G4 is moving into that space. CPQ is simply testing their models to find which will have the best payouts. That takes time and money...both of which they have. BTW, I don't own any CPQ YET. It's just not time. Oh yeah, liked the press release yesterday about how CPQ is following AAPL's lead in the "design" category. For part of their business, that's a good first step.
