When I think of push, I think of the old PointCast site. I wonder if they are still in business. Anyway, push was cool, but it probably was built on advertising. I suppose you could build it on e-commerce. Say a customer buys a ticket from Korean Airlines as they suggest, LG makes a commision. Anyway, would push add an element to the market dynamic? I don't know.

Is it likely that banner ads will not be apart of the wireless web? Or will this be common?

Recently, there was a lot of talk of proximity ads, which is where you walk past a store and a enticement pops up on you phone. Come to McDonalds, buy a burger, get a free drink kind of thing.

This implies a lot of things. Always online. Very special cell functions to locate you. Potentially free, if not dramatically reduced airtime cost paid for by advertising.

Regards,

Mark
