Thanks for the article Rtev- so far I've only skimmed it due to length. My only comments are that PCs are bought less and less from the big distributors as new channels replace them. The facts that Ingram and Tech Data are having trouble doesn't prove - or even indicate - that overall demand is down. Also, eroding prices and price wars have been consistent in the PC business for many years. I really don't see anything in the article that proves that this has accelerated due to Y2K. Clearly the PC business has issues to address, but are they due to Y2k lockdown?
