Today's price of 60+ reminds me why people who are not in the market every day should not try and time the market. Case in point is Daniel My Brother who held on to his LSI stock through thick and thin. One portion he purchased at 42 in 1997, and subsequently saw it hit ten before it bounced back to 44 where he sold. His reason for selling was that he thought the market would have a difficult time in the next six to eight week period--because the market had had similar difficulties in other past summer periods--hardly the sort of market expertise that would yield positive results.

Thus, Daniel garnered a profit of two dollars or five percent for his two year investment. If he had simply held on, he would now be looking at a two year return of 43%.
