p. webster, I did try using the % bears instead of % bulls, and I didn't get as definitive a correlation with the S&P 500. It might be possible to use a difference of (% bulls) minus (% bears) and get better results than either one alone, but I haven't tried that. Anybody who wants to take the data in the preceding post and try it is welcome to do so.
