<I'm sure many consumers are going to pick Intel PC over comparably priced Athlon machines - if for no other reason that to PROTECT their investment by buying a WELL-KNOWN, PREMIUM brand instead of a Premium-Wannabee.> Yup, that could effect AMD's low-end/mid-range sales until Intel has something to offer at the high-end.
