Hickory, If the BOD comes to it's self serving senses and agrees to the Laird Farmout deal (oh, btw, this also includes the Gannat property), the suit will be dropped, I believe. This is what is so amazing. People that have looked at this case, believe there is a paper trail that is very damaging to the parties involved. All of this could go away if they just accepted the agreement that they gave their approval to in the July 7th board meeting. I assume that these boys aren' as stupid as they look. They must have a plan that they have figured will be their redemption. I happen to believe that this is just a cluster f**k delusion that they are championing. When the visual aids start outlining who did what, said what, sold what.....know what? that court room is going to seem pretty darn small.
In my opinion they committed a monumental miscalculation when they thought that Laird would never ever come up with a partner and bring in a deal by Sept. 1st. I don't think they have accepted that reality yet and are still in denial. Furthermore, since I am just speculating, I would guess that they compounded that miscalculation by assuming the Partners and Laird would just walk away if they put up some barriers. They now know that was an incorrect assessment, but, can not come to the to the obvious solution,i.e., honor the deal.
