The PACIFIC! You would have admired the folks who handled the boat, because there was no room for error if you wanted to land the boat. So we didn't have to worry about pirates! <G> I went diving ONE day. The dive boat would not come in to pick me up. The folks from my resort had to run me out to the dive boat. The dive-store owner told me that our resort had the most dangerous landing site in the area because the boatman had to weave between the rocks. And he had to hit JUST the right wave. Otherwise, the rocks would have ripped the boat apart. There are drier rain forests in Costa Rica. The one we visited had the most diverse bird life. I planned the trip around housemate's interests. Unless the weather was good ~ and it wasn't ~ I knew I would not enjoy the trip very much. Spanish culture does not interest us either. We saw an old friend from university though who had made his home in San Jose after he completed his Ph.D in Psycho-pharmacology. (I don't even know if I can spell it) <G> M....
