Thanks David. As usual, an insightful reply. And thanks for your earlier reference to Intel, I missed that. You and I agree that this recent move is probably temporary, though the Nasdaq in general shows some signs of life today. Keep us informed on your take of the NAB show. Incidentally, is the Intel stock purchase dilutative for previous stockholders? Also, I agree with you that Apple seems stronger now than last year. Their new 300 Mhz computer is sure tempting, if it's priced right. To some extent Apple has problems like AVID, best technology but prices too high, and management out to lunch. Are you placing any bets on Apple these days? I hear that their overall market share (including the apple clones) has bottomed and is rising again.
No-way (barring takeover run-up) that AVID's p/e can get above 20 this year-that I feel confident about. So earnings announcements hold quite a thrill for AVID stock holders. We shall see pretty shortly.
