People who do not believe in evolution are somewhat ignorant. However, people are even more ignorant who choose not to believe in God. The two go hand-in-hand, as states the Roman Catholic Church because what is stated in the Bible, particularly in the book of Genesis is not a literal story of creation. Rather, it is a symbolic tale of the original fall of man which speaks of original sin. Therefore, do not knock evolution because it explains all of the in-betweens and it does not contradict the faith so long as you accept God as the prime mover and the cause of all creation.
