Sorry, but you have to admit I got you to respond quickly, didn't I? lol. As for science being older than the Catholic Church, that is arguable. Before you start writing furiously, what I mean is that the need to know why, how, and when something happens, namely science, even if primitive, is a natural human trait. Just look, or better yet, listen, to any 3 yr old. The need to believe in God, in any form, is also an instinctive trait. There is a natural need to reach out beyond this world, to something intangible, to something outside the scope of everyday life. If I may be so impertinent as to ask: Do you have a religion? I mean any kind, not just the standard labeled ones, but anything that you feel might be considered one. And as for the 'belief' in evolution, I agree with you that belief isn't necessary, I just wanted you and everyone else to know. |
