This PR this morning has to be the most pathetic thing i've ever seen. I guess when your "super cap" you can't afford a full length PR.
The Company's new products are compatible to the existing IEEE 802.11 standards. The Company believes that its products will offer a solution to ISP's requiring high speed internet access, at a fraction of the cost of having wired internet service.
Again for the dummies, it ain't the wire that cost money, it's what goes over the wire. If I get a wireless hookup to my ISP for free, I mean if they give away the equipment, I still have to pay for the bandwidth. The ISP get a T1 for $1000 a month for instance. That's 1.5 megabits/second. If I use half that amount of bandwidth I would have to pay over $500(they have to make a profit). Or I could get DSL or a cable modem(coming soon to a city near you) for $50 a month and get the same bandwidth. Duh, what to do.
Again, this type of wireless equipment, from much bigger companies cost $2000+ per location. Does anyone really believe that AMPD has found a way to do this for $100 or less so Johnny Lunchpail can afford it? Good, I didn't think so. Did I mention that even if it was $100, you'd still have to pay an exorbitant fee for the bandwidth? Yeah I guess I did. When you see QCOM talk about wireless internet, then get excited, until then, get short.
Forget it TRAV, your toast on this one punk.
