Singapore is kind of democratic, Australia certainly is, the Philippines are, Hong Kong isn't, and India probably has the world's messiest democracy. But the internet will certainly help the spread of better government as people become better informed.

Sometimes a pro-business authoritarian regime can actually facilitate business. Look at Chile in the 1980's.
