Little pockets of like-minded people is just the type of setting that leads to petty conflicts with turn into conflagurations (such as in the balkans). Sure it seems nice in the beginnig, you don't have to put up those who look or act different and eat funny food. Next vigilantes make sure there is no frequent contact or heaven forbid sexual relations between the groups because it would be a crime against nature. Then comes all that burning and destruction and young guys who wondered what sex would be like with the other group resort to rape and more killing to hide their indiscretion. No, that's not the kind of future I strive to leave my grandchildren.
