InfoInterActive Unveils Latest Internet Call Manager

ICM 6 Includes New Features and Web-based Voicemail

BEDFORD, NS, Sept. 15 /CNW/ - InfoInterActive Inc. (ME, ASE: IIA)
announced today the latest version of its popular Internet Call Manager (ICM)
service. Already pre-released in several North American markets, thousands of
new ICM users are enjoying the benefits of this latest version--benefits such
as web-based voicemail, the ability to record personalized messages and a host
of other features requested by customers. In early October, ICM users
everywhere will be able to share the same benefits as InfoInterActive rolls
out ICM 6 across North America.
ICM is InfoInterActive's patented flagship service that allows Internet
users to monitor and handle incoming phone calls while on-line. ICM solves the
busy phone line dilemma facing Internet subscribers using phone lines to
access the Internet. A pop-up window notifies ICM users of incoming calls and
provides several ways to manage the calls with the click of a mouse.
Users can acknowledge calls with one of two messages--choosing from
professionally recorded announcements or messages that they have recorded. The
first message is designed to indicate that the user has seen who is calling
and will return the call. The second is designed to invite the caller to call
back shortly. Users can also ignore calls, transferring them to a voicemail
box complete with a personal greeting. Voicemail messages can be retrieved
from a personal, secure web page. In selected cities, ICM users also have the
option to answer calls or transfer them to another number, such as a
cellphone.
``I am exceptionally pleased with ICM and its voicemail capability,'
says ICM subscriber, Bob McElroy of Salem, Ore. ``It gives me a real sense of
relief to know that I'm not blocking an important phone call and if they need
to, people can leave me a message that I can access immediately.'
Easy to install and easy to use, ICM appeals to many types of Internet
subscribers, from casual home users to busy home office professionals. ICM 6
includes many improvements based on substantial customer feedback. Among these
improvements are an auto-upgrade feature that offers new versions
automatically, the addition of city and state/province information for every
caller, and an expanded caller log feature making it easier than ever to
organize phone numbers, names and locations.
``This latest version of ICM delivers the features most requested by our
customers and at no additional cost,' says Bob Richardson, vice-president of
sales and marketing. ``We are committed to being the leader when it comes to
simple, effective ways to stay in touch by telephone while on-line.'
IIA develops and deploys network-based enhanced services combining
telephone, Internet and wireless technologies. The company's patented flagship
product, Internet Call Manager, allows Internet users to monitor and handle
their calls while their phone lines are busy engaged on an Internet session.
The company holds US and Canadian patents for the relevant technology and has
patents pending in 22 other countries worldwide. See www.infointeractive.com
