** Road Runner races into NYC

Time Warner Cable in New York announced the launch of Road Runner,
its high-speed online service with direct Internet access. The
initial launch of Road Runner will be to homes in southern
Manhattan. Road Runner utilizes fiber-optic cable and a Toshiba
cable modem to deliver the Internet to home computers at speeds
the company says are 50 times faster than those delivered via a
telephone modem.
