Ed,
Re: Imagine if you will the new to Dell investor who bought in Feb in the 50's and now sees a loss of 15% in the value of his investment.

I used to work for a guy who thought like that. He bought 300 shares of DELL in 1989 or 1990 and sold a few months later because he believed that the run-up was finished.
He has been kicking himself ever since.

You can feel foolish buying DELL shares for some time. That may be minutes, hours, days, weeks or even months. After that, you begin to feel DELLish.

Those people who bought in the 50s will see their money whole again in the next few quarters if not sooner. After that, the stock will look better than most other investments.

Most people including myself time the market incorrectly. They buy high when the stock is soaring, and sell low when the market looks ugly. I can't predict those highs and lows. My hat is off to you if you can. I have to rely on dollar cost averaging and buying stocks(DELL) when I can afford to add to my position. In the long run, I may not make as much money as you do trading. But I spend less time watching it, which adds to my quality of life.

Craig
