John: Re: that's another good example of govt playing with the number..the price to the consumer in the "consumer" price index has gone down while really the consumer is paying higher prices (but forget it since it's taxes)... If the government started including the tobacco tax in CPI calculations, wouldn't it then have to account for each and every federal, state, and local tax on every product in the U.S? Sounds difficult to me. Adam
