Wow, I don't get shocked very often.
But that idea, is nearly blasphemous to me. That there is a LIMITED amount of FREEDOM?!?!?
No, freedom is not limited for reasonable people. The only restrictions needed on freedom are those absolutely necessary to keep unreasonable people from harming us.
This involves one thing at the minimalist level. Swift execution of all violent offenders.
But, since we live in a peaceful society, we don't do this. We make laws, and bend words, and twist meanings, and give lawyers jobs.
At least you can back this idea up, what is the support for your statement? You also tried to make this idea conditional by using "seems that way", so why did you feel you needed to add this? |
