FORMATION APPOINTS ENGINEER OF MINES
  Vancouver, BC, September 14, 1999, Formation Capital Corporation (FCO-TSE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Joseph A. Scheuering of Missoula, Montana to assist with the development of its 100% owned Sunshine Cobalt/Copper/Gold Project located in Lemhi County, Idaho.  A pre-feasibility study has been completed on the project and the Company is presently undertaking initiatives for final feasibility and permitting.  
  A graduate of the Colorado School of Mines, Mr. Scheuering brings to the Company over 30 years experience gained with several major mining companies. He has held such positions as Mine Planning Engineer, General Mine Foreman, Mine Superintendent, General Superintendent, Project Manager and General Manager.  His responsibilities have included all aspects of mine development including preparation of feasibility studies, upgrading of ore reserves, project permitting, contractor selection and project administration, as well as reclamation and closure.  Most recently, he held a position with Noranda as General Manager for the Blackbird Mine and was General Superintendent for the mine from November 1980 to March 1983 when the mine was refurbished and permitted.  The Blackbird mine is located in the same geological environment and is adjacent to the Company's Sunshine Project.   
  At Formation Capital, Mr. Scheuering will consult with the technical team and share the responsibility for the Sunshine project as it develops through the feasibility and permitting process.  He will provide expertise as the Company upgrades ore reserves, prepares the project feasibility study and permits the project. 
  Mr. Scheuering offers the Company a distinguished career gained through his experience with such companies as Asarco, Magma Copper and Noranda.  Management is very pleased to welcome him to the Company's technical team. |
