tang: Analysts go by models; CMGI cannot be modeled. They would like you to think that they analyze every piece of the business, but they obviously don't. My numbers have been much better than analysts, that's for sure... at least when liquidity events have been realized as they have this quarter. I've still been off, as I don't look at all the little nuances. I.e. I have no idea what the cost basis would be for ENGA as it was developed internally. GCTY/YHOO deal is a given... IR has confirmed that per Oasis @ RB. To believe that CMGI will lose .30, you would have to believe that they are losing $350 Million+ through their operations in the last quarter... that's absurd. Prudential is NOT making earnings estimates because they no better... CMGI cannot be modeled like the others. Check Q1 & Q2 ( biz.yahoo.com ).. analyst estimates = "n/a"... guess they talked Zacks into saving them from embarrassment. ;-)
