Carl, I wholeheartedly agree with all of your primary points, but I think that was a chat typo...to the best of my knowledge (always limited) Gardy never said 200 a month for a channel.That wouldn't pay anyone's production costs.
For better or worse, your depiction of Bramson's apparent approach is dead on.
