Benkea, i think the very least we can expect from the October FOMC meeting is a tightening bias. and the dismal scientists have never been as wrong about the economy, rates and what have you, as they were during the 90's, so i'm very comfortable with your suggestion to use them as contrary indicators. yes, rates will fall later this year - IF asset prices collapse.
