"GAAY bingo will not be running 5 days per week 3 hours a day, they simply dont have the money. We will be running Bingo Saturdays starting 9/25 for 1 hour only." The above from JoeyP's RB post makes me wonder about the following: 1. What happened to the sponsors? You know, the ones who, along with the stations, wanted Bingo postponed because of the "Neilsens sweep period." Isn't that what sponsors do, provide money? What was that about the postponement, an exercise in creative writing? Won't the sponsors and stations be quite disappointed to find this out, especially so late in the game. "...Weiner went on to announce that the premiere broadcast for BingoTelevision, a three-hour Monday through Friday series, has been moved up to Sept. 27th at the request of sponsors and television stations to coincide with the Neilsen's sweep period beginning Sept. 30, 1999.
