With the life expectancies rising and quality of life improving so dramatically for people in the 50s, 60s, 70s I don't see any reason why women shouldn't be able to have children in their 40s, and yet biology makes this difficult... emotionally otoh its another matter. Got news for you, many women do have children in their forties. What makes it difficult is ENERGY. Raising a kid is a full time 24 hour a day job for the first six years or so and only slightly less so after that. A lot of forty year old men and women are not physically up to the task. JLA
