To me, because I live in SoCal, the most interesting and curious aspect of the Armstrong situation is just what was the relationship between PEI and Buz Schwartz (KMNY K-money radio).

To Schwartz, Armstrong was the high priest of everything financial. Other program guests were often given short shrift, even paying advertisers, if they dared to offer opinions differing from Armstrongs.

Even though Schwartz is a New York liberal, Armstrong, and only Armstrong, was allowed to criticize government programs without rebuttal.

When I first knew of Schwartz, he was promoting small, mainly Canadian, bulletin board and pink sheet stocks, some of which turned out to be frauds. He claimed innocence, and for the most part, stopped stock promotions some months back.

I have nothing against either of these men, but I'm always suspicious of geniuses who want me to sent them money. If they are so smart, why do they need anything from me?

KMNY radio is now a Chinese language station for most of the day. I don't know what has happened to Schwartz.
