Mr. John Henderson reports
The company has added three key employees to its international sales team:
Mike Zwarick as vice-president, sales and marketing. Mr. Zwarick has 12 years of international sales experience in the telecommunications industry, as a regional manager in Singapore, Dubai, and Hong Kong with subsidiaries of the Hutchison Whampoa group. In his last posting in Singapore, he managed the company's key accounts and increased order backlogs by 750 per cent within seven months. Mr. Zwarick is responsible for all of dba Telecom's sales activities.
Garry Hines as general manager with responsibility for Australia and the South Pacific. Mr. Hines has an extensive background in the telecommunications industry with more than 25 years of international sales experience. This background includes the successful sale of high-end products and services to major corporations and governments, two key focuses for dba Telecom. Mr. Hines is responsible for developing business with current and new customers in Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.
Gary Thrift as product manager. Mr. Thrift has 15 years of international sales experience, most recently with the Alpha Technologies Group. Mr. Thrift has been based in Europe, Canada, Australia, and the United States. He has been instrumental in the establishment of new markets resulting in 70-per-cent market share of worldwide broadband powering. Mr. Thrift will be involved in new product development plans, sales and marketing strategies, and customer sales.
John R. Henderson, president and chief executive officer, said that: "We are extremely pleased to have these gentlemen on our team. Their successful backgrounds in international telecommunications sales bodes well for dba Telecom. We expect the addition of these key people to our current sales team will result in increasing sales through the end of 1999 and into 2000."
