Mr. Frank Hallam reports
The company's initial exploration program at the Agnew Lake property, 70 kilometres west-southwest of Sudbury, Ont., has resulted in the discovery of magmatic-style platinum, palladium, gold and copper mineralization. Randomly selected grab samples, respresentative of a sulphide-rich layer, returned combined platinum, palladium and gold values of up to 7.7 grams per tonne and 1.3 per cent copper. The Pt/Pd ratio is 4 to 1 and the gold value is 0.7 g/t. Numerous samples returned combined values in the 4 to 6 g/t Pt/Pd range. The exposed strike length of 250 metres may extend considerably further as an 800-metre-long soil anomaly extends further along strike from the mineralized layer and is open at the end of the soil grid. The company has acquired additional property contiguous with its claim block in order to secure the down-dip and strike extension of the intrusion. The property consists of 220 mineral claims covering an area of approximately 5,976 hectares (14,767 acres).
The layer has a width of 200 metres and lies within a much larger gabbro intrusion. The full extent of the gabbro intrusion and sulphide-rich layer are not known as they are obscured by overburden cover. The company is investigating the possibility that the sulphide-rich layer may have a discrete geophysical signature which will further aid in its detection along strike.
