i have seen the cost containment argument before i am a spender, i spend to invest to enhance valuation, to keep ahead of the normal and cyclical price errosion patterns of the market as much as i hate them, the VC's run around spending other peoples money to find new value 'divisibilites' or just new 'values' to sell VC's get plenty rich in the process and the 'average' investor gets 'less rich', temporarily, until they find ways to use the new 'values' to their benefit a simple example, however i don't think that emphasis on cost containment will match a spend and create model, ever just my two cents regards, ynot ;)
