the point in evoloution is that the system becomes more complex as time goes on.
start with random bits of protien that has the ability to replicate itself.
over time (billyuns, and billyuns od years...) it becomes a noe celled protozoa. it can gain energy from it's surroundings (eats & breathes), moves to find a better source of food, and leaves waste.
much later then that it becomes a simple multicellular organism. and as the complexity of the creation grows, the rate of change accellerates (becouse there are many more paths for change to take place in)
the more variety exsistant in a population or a species, the greater it's chances of survival in a calamity. the wider the spread the shotgun has, the easier it is to hit the target.

nature is about greater complexity, more differences, more variety.

idic - infinite diversity in infinite complexity...
